AI Engine Help Center

Run a first test

A short end-to-end test to confirm AI Engine works for a real sales user before you roll it out.

Before you give AI Engine to your team, run this test once. It takes about ten minutes and catches the most common setup problems.

Test as a real user, not as an admin#

Admins often pass tests that ordinary users fail, because admins can see every record and field. Use a user who has the AI Engine User permission set, access to your AI provider credential and the same profile as your sales reps. You can log in as that user with the Login link next to their name in Setup → Users. The link appears only if Administrators Can Log in as Any User is enabled in Setup → Login Access Policies. Otherwise, ask a colleague.

The test#

Do these steps in order. If one fails, fix it before moving on.

1. The chat answers a question#

Open a Lead or Account that has salesagent on its page. In the chat, ask:

How many leads do I have?

or click one of the Try asking suggestions. You should get an answer built from your Salesforce data. For this question, Lead must be active in Agent Objects.

  • "Object not enabled for AI Agent" on the record: the object is not active in Agent Objects.
  • "AI Engine access required": the user does not have AI Engine User.

2. A list comes back as a table#

Ask a question that returns records, for example:

Show my open opportunities by close date

Check that the columns you expect are there. A missing column usually means the field is not ticked in Agent Objects, or the user has no access to it.

3. A record action works#

On the record, click ▶ Next Steps, then ✉ Draft Email. Both should return a result about this record. If the result comes back empty, especially on a record with a lot of activity or in a language other than English, raise Max Output Tokens in the Org Profile above 3,500. These actions always get at least 3,500 output tokens, so a lower value does not change them.

4. Your language works#

Ask a question in the language your team uses. The answer should come back in that language. Then set the language selector in the actions bar (EN, PL, DE, FR or NL) to your team's language and run Next Steps again. The result should come back in that language.

5. Scoring works (if you set it up)#

Open a Lead or Opportunity with the AI Score card and click Generate AI Score (or ↻ if the record already has a score). A score, a label and a reason should appear.

6. The activity is logged#

Log in as an admin, open the Ai Agent Admin Setup tab, go to Activity Monitor, and check that the calls from the test appear with the right user and feature and the status ✓ OK.

Also test#

  • A sparse record (few fields filled) and a rich one (many activities and related records).
  • Every app and record type where you placed the components.
  • Any feature you plan to use from day one: PDF templates, Magic Snap, Meet Prep.

When all of this passes, continue with Roll out to users.

Still stuck? Ask AI, or email contact@cloudconnected.pl with the exact error message, the page or action you used and roughly when it happened.
