The PDF Settings tab sets one look for the PDFs that AI Engine generates in the Sales Agent: PDFs requested in the chat and PDFs from templates, including the template preview. Set it once and those documents follow your company style. The Meet Prep brief PDF has its own fixed layout and does not use these settings.
Before you start#
- You need the
AI_Engine_Adminpermission set. - An active Org Profile must exist, because PDF settings are stored on the active profile. See Org Profile settings.
Change the settings#
- Open the Ai Agent Admin Setup tab from the App Launcher and click 📄 PDF Settings.
- Change the settings described below. A new logo is only loaded into the form until you save.
- Click 💾 Save PDF Settings and wait for the "PDF settings saved" message.
The new look applies to PDFs generated after you save. The Sales Agent reads the settings when it loads, so users who already have it open should reload the page. PDFs that were already generated do not change.
PDF settings belong to the active Org Profile. If you make a different profile active, check the PDF settings again.
Branding#
| Setting | Effect | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Company Name in Header | The name printed in the page header, next to the generation date. Up to 120 characters | Empty: the App Name from the Org Profile is used |
| Logo PDF | A logo printed in the header. Click the upload area and choose a PNG or JPG of up to 98 KB. Click ✕ Remove to delete it | None |
| Footer Text | One line at the bottom of every page, up to 255 characters | "Generated by AI Engine · Cloud Connected". If you clear the field, a default footer line is printed |
The logo is stored in Salesforce with your settings, so it does not depend on an external image address.
Colours#
| Setting | Used for | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Primary Color | The header band at the top of the first page, the line under the document title, and the background tint, border or underline of section headers | #0052a3 |
| Accent Color | Section header text and marker, and table column headers | #003d7a |
Use the colour picker or type a hex value.
Layout#
| Setting | Options | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Page Orientation | Portrait or Landscape (A4) | Portrait |
| Font Family | Helvetica, Times New Roman, Courier | Helvetica |
| Font Size | Small (more data per page), Medium, Large (easier to read) | Medium |
| Section Style | Filled (coloured background), Bordered, Minimal (underline only) | Filled |
Two half-width sections placed side by side in a template always use the Filled header style.
Options#
Show Page Numbers prints "Page 1 / 3" style numbers in grey at the bottom right of every page. It is on by default.
Limitations#
- Accented and non-Latin characters. PDFs are built with standard PDF fonts. Many accented letters are written without their accents, for example ł becomes l, é becomes e and ü becomes ue, and the symbols € and £ are printed as EUR and GBP. Characters outside the Western European (Latin-1) range, such as Cyrillic, Greek or Asian scripts, are left out. The changes affect only the PDF, not the data in Salesforce.
- The in-app look of the Sales Agent (App Name, logo, theme) is set separately. See Branding.
Troubleshooting#
- "No active AI Engine Profile found" when saving. Create and save the Org Profile first.
- "Logo too large". Resize the image to 98 KB or less.
